Stephen Snyder

Stephen Snyder is a retired economist with interests in Health Care and Economic History. He joined Beth Avraham in 2004 and has maintained a connection ever since, though he and his wife now live in Baltimore. He earned a PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland and an MS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Virginia.

For Mr. Snyder, Judaism is, among other things, the world’s longest-running seminar. Every Saturday a Jew has an opportunity to learn Torah from the great sages of the past, but also an opportunity to have and to share their own opinion. And every day a Jew has an opportunity to put their learning to work. It is a Tree of Life to those who hold fast to it.

Mr. Snyder has been reading Daf Yomi for 5 years. He hopes to complete this cycle in good health.
